All Kinds of fine paper such as envelopes, letter paper, &c., are manufactured at them. They are chiefly two & three storeys high mostly all slated and in first rate repair. There are a great number of sheds about the building also some in the course of erection. Property of Mr Pirie & Sons, Stoneywood and Waterton Houses, Nr [Near] Auchmull, by Aberdeen. Steam, as well as water power, is used in driving the machinery. The water wheel is very large. |
