Aberdeenshire -- Parish of Leochel & Cushnie
[Note relating to 'Behinties'] - Bawhinto was probably correct at the time of the survey. In 1527 the spellings are Bawhinti & Belhinti. The change is no doubt recent showing the tendency to the use of small vowels & the curious fancy of adding S to names. [Initialled] J.M.D.

Ordnance Survey - Aberdeen county
Ordnance Survey was established in the 18th century to create maps, surveys and associated records for the entirety of Great Britain. These records are arranged by county. This entry has been created to enable searching for Ordnance Survey records for the county of Aberdeen, which is in the north east of Scotland. The boundaries of the county were altered by the Boundary Commissioners in 1891.
