016 ; 017 ; 025 ; 026 | The parish of Cairnie is in the presbytery of Strathbogie and synod of Moray and in the Western Division of the County, It is bounded on the north by the parish of Grange Banffshire, on the east by the parish of Rothiemay Banffshire and the parish of Huntly, on the south by the parishes of Huntly and Glass, on the east by the parish of Botriphnie Banffshire, and on the northeast & east by the parish of Keith Banffshire. The parish is partly in the County of Banff and partly in the County of Aberdeen, the portion in the County of Banff contains about 1189 statute acres, and is situated in the northeast end of the parish, the remainder of the parish which is in the County of Aberdeen contains about 15871 statute acres, in which is situated the parish Church. There are no detached portions of the parish of Cairnie nor are there any detached portions of any other parish situated within it. "The Deveron runs across the northeast end, and the Isla runs along part of the northern boundary. The soil of the low grounds is deep & fertile.
