I John Wood Surveyor aforesaid do hereby certify that upon careful
Examination I find these Duties do amot. [amount] to the Sum of Five hundred
and fifty two pounds twelve shillings Stg. [Sterling] and that this day being the
5th March [5 Mar]1798 I did deliver into the office of George Cranston Esq
a full Duplicate of this report and I further certify that the charges aga[inst]
the diff. [different] Inhabitants are made either from their Returns to my Requisition
or from the best possible information I could get when they failed to make such Returns J Wood
