Poser 378 - Burial Register, Canongate Kirk Session, 1698

In this poser, we continue our look at burial registers with an extract from the burial register among the kirk session records of Canongate parish (National Records of Scotland, CH2/122/73, page 29).

The session clerk has written quickly and untidily. Some secretary hand letters are fairly easy to spot but there are many cursive forms. His letter r is easily confused with the letter n. His descending letters (s and h) are badly formed and his writing would be even more difficult to read had he not consistently provided a tittle over his letter u (so he deserves some credit for that at least).

Questions: apart from the soldiers (or the son of a soldier in the first case), what were the names and designations of the other three deceased?
