Poser 292 - Minute books of the Scottish Excise Board, 1815

This poser is a passage from the minute books of the Scottish Excise Board, 1815 (Crown copyright, National Records of Scotland, CE2/30, page 48).

The clerk was consistent in the way he formed his letters and his hand is a fairly typical example for the early nineteenth century. He had the tendency of adding an extra flourish to his letter f. Watch out especially for abbreviations, numerals and interferences.
