Pabay

There are several islands called Pabay, Pabbay or variations. Three of these in the Outer Hebrides and one off the island of Skye merit further entries in this index: see under Pabay (Skye), Pabay Mor, Pabbay (Bishops Isles) and Pabbay (Harris).

Pabay (Skye)

An island to the east of Skye, in the parish of Strath and the county of Inverness. It was sometimes known as Pabba. Not to be confused with several other islands named Pabbay and Pabay, including Pabay Mor, Pabbay (Harris) and Pabbay (Bishops Isles).

Pabay Mor

An island in the Outer Hebrides, off the west coast of Loch Roag in Lewis, in the parish of Uig and the county of Ross and Cromarty. It was sometimes known as Paba, Pabaidh, or Pabay Mor. Not to be confused with Pabay (Skye), Pabbay (Bishops Isles), or Pabbay (Harris).
