Great Bernera

The isles of Great and Little Bernera, or Large and Little Bernera, are are in the Outer Hebrides, in the parish of Uig and the county of Ross and Cromarty. It was sometimes known as Large Bernera. There are also several other Scottish islands called Bernera or Berneray. For significant inhabited ones see under Berneray (Bishops Isles), Berneray (Sound of Harris), Little Bernera.

Great Cumbrae

An island in the Firth of Clyde, part of the parish of Cumbrae and one of the seven isles which made up the county of Bute. It was sometimes known as Big Cumbrae or Meikle Cumbrae. See also Little Cumbrae.
