Dunfermline

A parish in the county of Fife. It was a quoad omnia parish (a parish for civil and religious purposes). A small part of the parish was claimed (and assessed for taxation) by county of Kinross between 1845 and 1891. In 1891 the Boundary Commissioners transferred this part of the parish to the Kinross-shire parish of Cleish.

Dunfermline presbytery

A Church of Scotland presbytery. It was in the synod of Fife. From 1692 until about 1699 it was united with the presbytery of Kirkcaldy. In 1856 the parishes of Cleish, Kinross and Orwell were transferred to the presbytery of Kinross.
