A parish in the county of Berwick. It was a quoad omnia parish (a parish for civil and religious purposes).

Chirnside presbytery

A Church of Scotland presbytery. The General Assembly proposed the erection of the presbytery in 1581. It was in the synod of Merse and Teviotdale. Between 1690 and 1698 it was united with the presbytery of Duns.
