History, however, asserts (See Stat: Acct: [Statistical Account] Cadder Ph. [Parish]
Lanark, Fullarton's Gazetteers, &c) that when made prisoner by Monteith,
Governor of the Castle, he was confined in the fortress for a short time
previous to his removal to the South.
