Co. [County] Dumbarton -- Kirkintilloch Parish
[Below entry for Boghead Moss, which has been scored out:]
"As it would appear that there is a litigation pending in reference to the
ground in question, and as the adoption by the Ordnance Survey of any
particular name might strengthen the claim of one side unduly, and as the
portion of Moss Ground to which only the name can be now applied is
very small I think it will be best to omit any name"

Ordnance Survey - Dunbarton county
Ordnance Survey was established in the 18th century to create maps, surveys and associated records for the entirety of Great Britain. These records are arranged by county. This entry has been created to enable searching for Ordnance Survey records for the county of Dunbarton, which is in the west of Scotland. The boundaries of the county were altered by the Boundary Commissioners in 1891.
