025 | A Superior dwelling having pleasure ground &c. attached. There is also a good drive or avenue to it from a Lodge Gate at Hillhead (on 1/500 Scale). The name of this was changed by the Proprietor, a few years ago, from Unthank to Waverly ParK & at the present time it cannot be said that the new name is used as much as the old one. Every intelligent person knows of the change, & speaks of it, if the name of the place be asked. Innumerable authorities could be quoted for both names separately. All that need be borne in mind is that the Proprietor does not acknowledge the name UnthanK but that the Public do & use it as above stated. A Stranger obtaining |
