A two storey prison consisting of eighteen cells, nine on the ground floor, and nine more immediately over them, was erected in 1842 adjoining the Courthouse. There is a Justice of Peace Court held weekly, and a Sheriff and Jury Court occasionally. All important cases go to Stirling to be tried. |
