039 | This is Constructed out of a natural small bay at the confluence of the ''Burn of Latheronwheel'' with the sea. Formed on the north side by a small Quay and a good stone pier about 50 yards in length. Used chiefly for the accomodation of a small fleet of Fishing Boats, which have ingress at flood tide only. Propy [Property] of Major StocKs, Latheronwheel. This harbout was erected about 1841 by Capt [Captain] Dunbar of Leatheron, who was then proprietor. It accomodates about 22 Fishing Boats belonging to Fishermen in the Neighbourhood of Latheronwheel. |
