Mr Hugh McKay, Kensary Mr D. Mackinnon Shielton. Mr A. Doull, Bylbster. |
023 | In the year 1864 while Mr H. McKay of Kensary was cutting peats here, he found a Bronze Palstave or Spear-head, at a distance of 4 feet from the surface. He gave it to Capt. [Captain] Alexander Gunn of Brachour, who presented it to the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland. From the description I got of it from Mr McKay the annexed sketch is very near the size & shape of it. |
