Mr Hepburn, late Schoolmaster, Auds. Assessment Paper. Mr Hepburn's. Estate Plan. Mr Bryson. Mr Sydney Smith. Thriepland. |
004.10 | This name now applies to two small dwelling houses on the farm of Thriepland. They are a few chains to the South of the "Old Portsoy Road" more houses and an Inn, or, Public House are said to have stood here, and the place is celebrated as being the birthplace of Mrs Buchan, who was the founder of a religious sect called Buchanites. There is much uncertainty respecting the spelling of this house. I have not been able to obtain any Old document bearing its name. The old estate plans do not name it. |

Ordnance Survey - Banff county
Ordnance Survey was established in the 18th century to create maps, surveys and associated records for the entirety of Great Britain. These records are arranged by county. This entry has been created to enable searching for Ordnance Survey records for the county of Banff, which is in the north east of Scotland. The boundaries of the county were altered by the Boundary Commissioners in 1891.
