036 | This Ruins and Cave is Situated on the South East Coast of the [Luce] Bay, between the Bays of Port-an-kill and East Tarbet. The inner apartment of the Chapel or Cave is a natural Cavity of the rock. Extending about 25 links into the Precipice. Its breadth at the entrance is 15 links. The Ruins or Chapel is Partly of rude Mason work, the North and South sides are formed out of the rock. There has been a door and window on the East side, the traces of which are yet to be seen. The walls are greatly dilapidated. This is the Cave "Called by Chalmers, St. [ Medans] Cave;" but it is not Known in the Country well by that name.
