Three small springs contigious tothe Sheep Raes of Killgallioch, each well is built over with loose stones, and over each there is a small niche wherein a bowl or Hat might be placed. There is a tradition here that these wells were at one time held in great veneration, by the religous enthusiasts, and that Penitents resorted hither to offer up their Prayers and perform other religious ceremonies. |
