001 | [Situation] At the E. [East] end of Borrowstounness. A small piece of ground situated at the east end of Borrowstouwnness extending from the Gas Work, to the Free Church. It was a Common at one period, but it is now the propoerty of the Duke of Hamilton; who by some means or other managed to take it from the town. |
