The parish of Farr is in the Presbytery of Tongue, Synod of Sutherland and Caithness. It is bounded on the north by the North Sea; in the west by the parishes of Tongue, Durness, and Edderachylis; on the south by the parishes of Lairg, Rogart and Clyne; and on the East by the parish of Kildonan and part of the parish of Reay in Sutherlandshire.
