This Parish is in the Presbytery of Dornoch and Synod of Sutherland and Caithness. Patrons, the Crown and the Duke of Sutherland. It is bounded on the East by the Parish of Dornoch; on the South by the Dornoch Firth and the River Oykell; on the West by the Parish of Assynt; on the North by the Parish of Lairg. The Parish Church stands near the shore of the Dornoch Firth about three miles southeast of Bonar Bridge. There are no detached portions of any other Parish in this Parish; neither is there any portion of this Parish in any other.
