027.08 | A large tract of moorland on the Estate of Woodhead the property of Lady Strangford. It extends eastwards as far as the fence enclosing it near "Clochcore" (Trace 4 27-12); west & south to the Parish Boundary where "Craigmaddie Muir", in Baldernock Parish, adjoins; and north to the moss drain or ditch south of "Craigend" (Traces 1. 2 & 3 of this Plan). There is a good cairn about 8 feet high, & quite conical at the top, about the Centre of "Craigend Muir". It bears no name, nor is it remarkable for long standing, being erected within a short period by the Shepherds of the district. There are also some detached Craigs in this Muir which do not bear a name. |

Ordnance Survey - Stirling county
Ordnance Survey was established in the 18th century to create maps, surveys and associated records for the entirety of Great Britain. These records are arranged by county. This entry has been created to enable searching for Ordnance Survey records for the county of Stirling, which is in central Scotland. The boundaries of the county were altered by the Boundary Commissioners in 1891.
