022 | A small natural ridge sloping on the side next "Boyd's Burn" in a steep embankment. The extent of this Knowe, as it is called, is shewn to the foot or bottom of it, the top is too small to shew upon the 6 inch Scale - it is nearly sharp on the top. Few names in the hilly part of the Parish are known so well as this, which upon the Factor's authority, is particularly noted in the Proprietor's Title Deeds. Sir S. Stirling Bart.
