The chief part of the out offices of this steading were built for and used as Malthouses, some years ago. Close to the Steading is a pool of water, at one time used for Malting purposes. This pond is formed round a Spring of pure water, which bore the name of St. Thomas's Well. The Spring is in the Centre of the pool, which is Continually full.
