018.06 | A large farmsteading consisting of two-storey dwelling and outhouse, all tiled and in good order. It is the chief house on the estate, having been in former times, the residence of the proprietor. Property of John Cunningham Esq. There is a tradition in the neighbourhood as to the former existence of a Convent in the orchard attached to this house. The remains of a building can certainly still be seen, but as the tradition is not satisfactory, and no notice is taken of it in the histories of Religious houses in this Co. [County] it has not been supplied. |

Ordnance Survey - Stirling county
Ordnance Survey was established in the 18th century to create maps, surveys and associated records for the entirety of Great Britain. These records are arranged by county. This entry has been created to enable searching for Ordnance Survey records for the county of Stirling, which is in central Scotland. The boundaries of the county were altered by the Boundary Commissioners in 1891.
