017.14 | The name applies to the whole of the rocKy face of the Hill it rises to a height of between two and three hundred feet from its base and it is very Steep and precipitous. The RocK is composed chiefly of Limestone and there are large lime WorKs at its base. The Summit of the Craig is covered with fir. The Hill of which the Craig is the North And West face, is not Known by any distinctive Name, it being a very gentle Acclivity from the South & East until it comes abruptly om the Craig. |
