039 | A large and elegant Mansion beautifully situated on the Banks of the Doon, about three miles E. [East] of the Village of Dalrymple. It was built about two years ago, by the present Proprietor, and is in the Elisabethean Style. There is another large Modern building stands at a short distance from it, which wa the residence of the former Proprietor and bore the same appelation. The outhouses are plain buildings and are in excellent repair. the pleasant grounds and walks are very tastefully laid out, and beautifully ornamented with young Fir Ash &c. and the garden which is large presents the same uniform degree of neatness which is observable throughout the whole of the place.
