039 | A fine Modern Mansion pleasantly situated on the Banks of the Doon, about a mile E. [East] of the village of Dalrymple. Part of the outhouses have of late been converted into a farm-steading now known as Skeldon Mains, & the other portions are in very bad repair. The pleasence found which is extensive is well studded with huge old trees; although in everything about the place, there is a great want of that care and neatness, which is generally displayed about Gentlemen's Seats. Property of Mrs. Leslie Cunningham. |

Ordnance Survey - Ayr county
Ordnance Survey was established in the 18th century to create maps, surveys and associated records for the entirety of Great Britain. These records are arranged by county. This entry has been created to enable searching for Ordnance Survey records for the county of Ayr, which is in the south west of Scotland. The boundaries of the county were altered by the Boundary Commissioners in 1891.
