007 | A cultivated eminence on the Farm of Baidland. There is a Trigl. Stn. [Trigonometrical Station] on its Summit. The people in the neighbourhood, when speaking of this Hill generally call it 'The Laws' On the Summit around the Trigl. Stn. the foundations of some old buildings were removed about 40 years ago. The rubbish & stones may probably have been the 'Cairn' mentioned in the Stat. Acct. [Statistical Account] None of the inhabitants remember seeing of anything of the kind being there. see site of Cairn on previous page. |
