011 | The site of this Tower was pointed out by James Templeton the present occupier, he States that traditionally it is supposed that a Castle or Tower once stood at or about the place marked on trace. Some Years ago when working the field he discovered the Foundation of a Circular building, material cut Stone, there were also several large trees stood near the supposed Site which were cut down by the present occupier.- When the Tower was erected or by whom and for what purpose, cannot be discovered from any persons in this neighbourhood |
