010.01 | A Small private School for boys and girls, in shedden park Road. The room was purposely built for a school and has a respectable appearance. Shedden park School would have been a Modest and correct name, instead of academy, a few plain branches of education being all that is taught. Shedden park academy could be written in parenthesis or subordinate to the word School. This is merely a private School. the term academy is only a fanciful designation. it is therefore omitted. |

Ordnance Survey - Roxburgh county
Ordnance Survey was established in the 18th century to create maps, surveys and associated records for the entirety of Great Britain. These records are arranged by county. This entry has been created to enable searching for Ordnance Survey records for the county of Roxburgh, which is in the south east of Scotland. The boundaries of the county were altered by the Boundary Commissioners in 1891.
