027 | Dun-faire-losgaidh or the "beacon watch tower" This interesting specimen of a Teutonic Fortress was entirely destroyed about 1818 by the materials of which it consisted being used for building dikes and farm houses at Easter Fearn so that scarcely a vestige is now to be seen. It was situated on the side of the County Road between Tain & Bonar 1/4 mile E. [East] of Easter Fearn. |
