015.01 | The only large lake in the parish is Castle-Semple Loch, which was once much larger than at present, but it still covers about 200 acres of ground. Its length is much greater than its breadth. It contains three small wooded islets, and is surrounded by the beautiful scenery of Castle Semple Loch" "It is furnished with Swans, Cape and Canadian geese in vast numbers, ducks, teals, and other kinds of water fowl, and contains pike, perches, and other kind of fish.
