Its position has been pointed out by the present Occupier of the land who razed it for Cultivation Several years ago. The ground is flat at the top with a slight inclination on the outside. In Crawfurd's History it is considered to be the vestige of a Roman Camp. |

I can see no mention made of this camp in the edition of Crawfurd's History in this office. J. C. G.
The object has evidently been one of the Mote or Court Hills so numerous in this district of Country - see those in Plans 006.4 and 007.9. of this Parish. J.H. Castle
