074 | A small church in ruins, situated within a graveyard, which is still used, its walls are still entire, but roofless. It was used as the Parish Church for Cambusmichael which was united to that of St. Martins nearly 200 years ago. It is the property of the Earl of Mansfield. but the inhabitants of the locality, holds the right of a roadway from the farm house of Cambusmichael to the graveyard, for their internments. Cambus in the Gaelic language signifying a low plain, is descriptive of the situation of the old parish church of Cambusmichael, as it lies in a plain on the banks of the Tay. The ruins of the church of Cambusmichael still remain, but the name of that parish is lost in that of St. Martin's which now forms the designation of both parishes.
