098 | [Situation] On the South side of Athole Street A handsome edifice of the, middle pointed Gothic Style of architecture built in 1850 and capable of accommodating 300 of a congregation with seats. The present structure is only part of a Cathedral which intended to be completed when funds can be procured for its completion or when the congregation will need more church accommodation. It is intended when completed to be capable of accommodating 1000 a congregation, the building will then be of usual construction of a cathedral having two western towers with spires. An isolated part of the building on the west side is at present used as a schoolroom for boys. It belongs to the Scottish Episcopal Church.
