The following notice is from Marshall's Hist.[History] of Perth page 282. "The house chosen as the residence of the Prince while in Perth was that of the Viscount Stormont to which after the Ceremony at the Cross he was conducted amid the plaudits of the assembled thousands. It was an antique house with a wooden front standing upon the site presently occupied by the National Bank near the bottom of the High Street." |
