[North West] side of the Chapel of Innerpeffray, the ground floor is occupied as a dwelling house and the upper flat contains the library, bequeathed by David - Lord Madertie in 1691 for the use of Students in the district who had been admitted members of a University, it consists of about 2800 Volumes, chiefly theological, classical, & historical writings, of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, and a number of black letter Volumes.
