In 1860, the Church was built & Consecrated in the same year.v Seated to accommodate 250 persons. "On the plain below Torwood Villa, a handsome Ecclesiastical Building in connection with the Scottish Episcopal Church, is being erected. The style is Early Middle Pointed, with severe geometrical tracery, in which a copious use of the unfoliated circle in the east and side windows, &c. The whole design harmonizes well with the surpassing scenery in which it stands. This building is on the site of one of the crosses erected in Roman Catholic times.
