130 | About 40 years ago in clearing the moss, the remains of an ancient road a Supposed to be Roman were found at this place, the remains consisted of Sticks and tree laid crossways upon the clay at the bottom of the moss, also an old hot & some pots were found. It is not known which direction the road went from this Spot, but it is Supposed to have gone in direction of a ferry near to the Spot occupied by the present bridge |
