| KILMADOCK CHURCH (Ruins of) | Church (Ph. [Parish] ruins of) | Revd [Reverend] Gordon Mitchell James Cumming Robert Cumming |

County of Perth -- Ph [Parish] of Kilmadock -- 25 inch sheet 124, plan 15.
"Formerly the parish church stood at Kilmadock, the site of
the ancient monastery of Madocus; but it was taken down in 1744."
"Though the church be removed to Doune, the most of the ancient families
bury at Kilmadock, where the minister still resides with his Manse
and Glebe." Taken from the New and Old Statistical Account.
As the dedicatory name of this church is very doubtful it is
not inserted but as the church seems to built at a place formerly
called Kilmadock which agrees with the parish name it is thought
desirable to prefix Kilmadock to the ancient parish church
