125 | These are two remarkable stones, situated on a fence immediately above the Ardoch Burn and about ΒΌ of a mile north of the farm of Auchinteck, they are of great size and are remarkable as being composed of small boulders cemented together by sand and gravel. This has no doubt been produced by the action of water and the appearance of the ground shows that the Ardoch Burn formerly occupied a channel at least 50 higher than its present level |
