042 | On the east side of the muir called Monk's Cally is the remains of what has once has been a large cairn of stones. A number of years ago it was much destroyed for the purpose of building some of the dykes with its stones, but still the evidence on the ground resembles much of the ancient stone tumuli. Mr. Douglas of the Bridge of Cally believes it to be a Sepulchral Cairn An ancient hand mill or Quern was found in it, on the removal of some of the stones. |

Ordnance Survey - Perth county
Ordnance Survey was established in the 18th century to create maps, surveys and associated records for the entirety of Great Britain. These records are arranged by county. This entry has been created to enable searching for Ordnance Survey records for the county of Perth, which is in central Scotland. The boundaries of the county were altered by the Boundary Commissioners in 1891.
