The farm of North Eittet seems to be situate on the site of a brough (in levelling a small knowe in the farm yard several cartloads of (supposed) human remains mixed with ashes in a semiliquid state were discovered) A portion of the outer ditch is still to be observed in the stackyard. 21 ch. S.E. from North Eittet & 13 ch S.W. from Knowe of Dishero is to be seen the ruin of an Established Church Erected in 1732 the graveyard attached is still in use, enclosed in 1857. |
