The Island has been supplied with a Lighthouse having a revolving Light which flashes every 10 Seconds, a description of which is given elsewhere. The whole Island is the property of William Traill Esquire of Woodwick M.D. and in quoad civilia [ underlined] ecclesiastical reckoning belongs to the parish quoad Sacra[underlined]. The parish Church is a parliamentary one. There is also a Free Church and a good public School.
