012.14 | This was a corn mill until about 5 years ago when it was burnt to the extent shewn as a Ruin on Examination Trace. The kiln is all that remains of it, & although it has not been used as a mill since burnt, it is authorized as if in working order, as it is very probable that it will be repaired again for grinding corn, which it is adapted for at the present time, with the exception of some parts of the machinery injured at the time of the fire. The water for the use of the mill was supplied by artificial lade, made of Iron pipes, which was connected with the mill from an Old Dam near it. |

Ordnance Survey - Lanark county
Ordnance Survey was established in the 18th century to create maps, surveys and associated records for the entirety of Great Britain. These records are arranged by county. This entry has been created to enable searching for Ordnance Survey records for the county of Lanark, which is in the west of Scotland. The boundaries of the county were altered by the Boundary Commissioners in 1891.
