On it is a Trigl, [Trigonometrical] Station Called by Trigl. [Trigonometrical] Party Viewfield. Mr. Cannon of Shield who is a very intelligent Man besides an old residenter of this neighbourhood, Says that about 40 Years ago an old Corn Kiln was visible on this hill, which [probably] is the origin of the name Kiln Hill. |
