Curiosity has not yet caused its being opened to discover what its contents might be, but concerning it there is a tradition in this locality to the effect that this cairn was constructed here in commemoration of its being the place on which "Gordon" the first Lord of Kenmuir Slew a Wild Boar, for which act he was raised to the Peerage by the King With the titles of "Earl of Kenmuir" and "Lord of Lochinvar". |
