51C--3----Camp--In a field on the farm of Kirkcarswell East a little North West of the farm house is an antiquity which have the appearance of an ancient camp it is of a very irregular form and appears to have been a place of strength at one time there is no information to be had in the County respecting its origin Mr. Kissock of Balmangan says that he heard his Father and other old Residenters in the locality call it a camp Mr. Kissock also says that Mr. Train from Castle Douglas accompanied by another antiquarian from the highlands visited it a few years ago and Could Get No More Information Respecting it than is here stated--Rerwick [Rerrick]--Thomas Kissock--Balmangan Mill
